I have always seen things. I have been a visual person for as long as I can remember.
So it is not surprising that I focused on art in high school and became an art major in college. Then came my years in the desert running religious schools and completing a doctorate in Artificial Intelligence. But the Ph.D led me to Northwestern University where I was a part of early explorations in multimedia, and I was able to return to a visual realm.
Art and technology gave me new tools of expression, and eventually led me back to traditional media.
The goal in all of my work is to tell stories. I tell stories visually; whether using multimedia in education, to using photography to tell the story of a client’s wedding. I love the challenge of telling a person’s story with one of my portraits, photographic or painted, drawn or sketched.
